Just curious as to how everybody is doing these days......

Barbara
Hello barbara,

I am very busy on and off with my website, sometimes I feel that "ik door de bomen het bos niet meer zie." There is just so much more to do, so much more to change, so much more to submit to etc. Sometimes I have to consciously forget about all the options and just work on one thing without doubting whether or not it is the best thing to do first, or else nothing gets done for real.

My main goal at the moment is creating more traffic. I have regularly been submitting my site to more directories, general ones as well as ones specifically for spirituality, or yoga and meditation. Next step is to write some decent articles and submit them to articlemarketer.com. I wonder whether or not Articlemarketer sends it to ezine as well.

So main pursuits at the moment:
+Creating more traffic through directories, forum-posting and hopefully soon article-distribution-services.
+Writing more profitability-focussed webpages to create more traffic directly from google. I am currently unsatisfied when it comes to my google-traffic.
+Edit my old e-book and add it to my newsletter subscription page for free.
+After the above mentioned points start paying off, I want to start monetizing through adsense and affiliate programs.

Future:
+I want to write another book to not only be sold on my website, but also in store.

What about your current situation Barbara?

Greetings,
bentinho
Hi all,

Good to read all the plans and ideas you're having.

I recognize your story Benthino and Gaya; it's often difficult to stay focussed and take it task by task. My screensaver is actually saying: 'Focus Your Mind'.

Working on this project gives me energy, which is not the case for my daytime job Sad . I'm searching for ways to create more time and work on this or related business, without loosing my financial income. Any tips on this from anyone, please let me know!

And Yvonne, with a domain name like you're having it wouldn't be difficult to create a bi-language site which is something you can do (or have it done) later.

Joy, I like your site and blog. I think you are doing very well.

My first task would be to make a plan and find niche directories to submit to. Though actually I need to repair my e-book first. The software I used didn't convert all links and I should have used Adobe ("goedkoop is duurkoop") or use a service. I cannot use free acrobat software as this doesn't generate a clickable table of contents which is mandatory for an 92 page e-book. And I need to post in my blog, and create more content, and .... and.... exactly so much to do, so little time Wink

Looking forward to the "how to write a book" course. I'm planning on writing several. First one about dog nutrition and health effects of course.
Starting a part-time study in a few weeks time which will also give inspiration on new topics (even more ideas, and even less time).

Having now finished the e-book this looks very promising. I'm receiving a lot of very good feedback from contributing authors. Very warm and personal in some cases. A lot of them will be using this as a free gift to their subscribers, so stop vaccinating and let the virus spread.

I would like to brainstorm some day, perhaps on a regular bimonthly level. Not about technical stuff, but on a strategic level. What can we do with our sites and blogs? What can content 2.0 do for our business? But this needs to be serious, so topic based and well prepared... then drink beers afterwards Wink

All the best and focus your mind,
Barbara

PS Yvonne, your call came in as I was writing this... good luck brainstorming tonight!
Yes I am in for that meeting as well barbara.

Btw, I noticed, Joy, that the ezine you wrote and that got accepted is also an actual page on your site :

Or am I wrong?

If it is true, then I would like to hear other people's thought on whether or not this is beneficial for your site.. Nisandeh, Barbara, anyone?
True, but the trick is to post first on your site, let it sit for a while until it is indexed by Google as being the original text, then submit to eZine articles. It's for re-use of content, I'm not going to write separate texts for articles.
Oh so if I am getting this right, you use your first couple of webpages as an article, maybe edit it somewhere to make it more like an article, and then distribute it instead of writing an article just for the sake of writing an article to submit? You just use your webpages?

Nisandeh, what do you think about that?

It would save me some effort now, so would be nice.
Benthino,

When your article is keyword focussed, can be read on its own, publish it first on your site and then on a articles site with PR4 you'll be on your way. Notice that ezinearticles has increased the maximum of words and are also asking to not keep it below 500 words.
Ok thanks. But why does the article site have to be PR4 at least? Because if i send it to articlemarketer, I don;t know in which article sites it will be published..

Greetz,
B
Yes, Ok thank you. Btw, in your article did you include links in the text? as in: <a href= ...etc</a> to your tier 2 and 3 pages on relevent keywords in your article?
Well I remember article marketer, in their guidelines for artilce writing, adviced me not to pout links in the text, as many publishers bounce these articles. But I remember Nisandeh telling me in a thread on the forum that a few links as words to deep pages (T2, T3) is good.
