As i was already a member of Hyves since 2005, i didn't do anything with it until last Friday.

I pimped my homepage up and add some tips, events and....my e-book for free!!

It really worked! SBI Search HQ shows me the people who are coming from Hyves to look at my site, and I receive an email when people actually sign up in order to download the book. With this first stap i am building my mailinglist.

Maybe an idea for you also?

What i also did was to submit to RSS; everytime i am writing one of my wellness-stress-blogs, a few hours later they automatically shows up at my Hyves homepage. The only thing i have to do now is put a link to my website in it to generate more traffic to my site.

Acoording to the Hyves-statistics people are reading my blog on Hyves..and not at the blog itselfs because they won't search for it.

Hyves is a peoples community where everyone has his/her own website.
You can upload foto's and video's, write your own blog and connect with your friends. Check it out at http://www.hyves.nl.

It is now almost 7 days ago that i put on an advertert (tip) for my e-book and i have already 50 emails from people who downloaded it. Most of those people are 'friends from friends'; i don't know them personally.

Guess Hyvers aren't dog lovers. Also.. dog food is no hype (yet) in the Netherlands as it is in the US. So myspace.com would in fact be a better option.

My stats show people are looking for dog digestion information quite a lot. So I'm going to write about that some more... I don't have a clue as to WHY they are so interested. Never bothered me before.. food goes in.. something else comes out. Works every time!
Looks like they just want to know about passage time so they know when to take the dog out for a sanitary walk

I added my site to my hyves tip as well, both my parents did it with my site on their hyves pages also, I think I get10-20 visitors a month through that. Not that much, but it's something. Haven't revised my ebook yet, but good idea to put that up as well.
