I just browsed through my statistics to see whether I could track down how the US customer found my website (the one that filled out the contact form about which I posted a question in another thread).
Most searchers enter via live.com (google comes in third, after my blog).
To my surprise I get found via keywords 'best dog food' which directly leads them to my tier-1 homepage.. and I'm on page 1 (position 8) via live search.
So.. this makes me wonder about the algorithm of Live versus Google. I'm against the same competitors.. though this is a huge difference.
Another funny thing happened yesterday as I was researching dog food to get more content. Second hit on google was my own blog. Can't remember the keywords I used (three words, probably low demand as it was a specific search).
Well.... just wanted to share.

I was suprised also but most of all shocked to see two of my webpages on the second Google-page when i searched for Stresssignalen en stresstips!!!!
The total pages about Stresssignalen counts 15.100, for stresstips there are 549 competitors.
Not bad for a beginner!
But, oh! I couldn't sleep last night, wondering how to write new and re-write existing pages to become part of the Google top-10. But then again, i am out in the air for just 2 weeks, so i must not complain....
Like SBI in his video's mentioned: "Just wait and sit tight"

Stress...? I see thousands and thousands of new competitors in dog food every day. Total number of hits has hit 73,6 million, whereas it was 71 last time I looked and about 65 million when I started!
I have just wrote a draft response to my first ´customer´ and think about sending it. I´ve searched for animal nutrition advice on the web and you can get it commercially for 200 dollars, so I´ve just emailed the course center where I can get certified and asked whether I can participate. Not that I would ask that amount of money.
About your friend... (I didn't get your voicemail about this.. something must have went wrong), I'm always open to new contacts in the dog food business.
Did my first interview yesterday. Will work though my notes tomorrow.

Why? Yesterday number 8 on first page ('best dog food' search on live.com), today dropped back to page 5.

What a world!
I think Live.com is more sensitive to a site with excellent key-word structure like SBI! provides. It seems google is a little more strict in its calculations, not only depending on the key-word structure but on multiple factors like quality and authenticity, or perhaps time of existence and activity within the site plays a role as well with google.

Sure the Google algoritm is expected to be much more sophisticated, but to drop 5 pages within 24 hours on Live (without changing anything to the site, or perhaps that was the 'problem') still puzzles me.
Are you sure you typed in the same exact keywords the second time? I can't imagine that you would drop 5 pages in 24 hours..
yes, that crossed my mind as well but I'm sure.... I'm trying not to check anymore for the time being
