Upload graphics in homepage

Hi Barbara,

I've done what you've told me in order to get some pictures on my homesite. Uploaded my own pictures in the Graphic Library. When i typ in the current info, (http://www.wellness-stress-management.co...uurtje.jpg)

the picture does not appear on my site.

The only thing i see is this square with a little icon; no picture at all.

I've resized my pictures to 75 x (somewhat)

Has it anything to do with the extension maybe? I stored them as an jpeg-file.

RE: Upload graphics in homepage

Hi Yvonne,

I notice you are getting along well with the new HTML knowledge. The graphics-issue you described is not due to the file extension, but the link (that is included in your post here) is invalid. However, when I take a look at your homepage now (so 2 hours after you submitted your question), it seems that you got it figured out :-)
Good for you! Let me know if you still have issues with this.

RE: Upload graphics in homepage

Hi Barbara,

Actually i am having an issue here; when i paste the pictures in my homepage, they didn't seem to like the place i want them to be...!!

I put them in this order: fire/lightning/earth/air/water/lightning/fire

When i am previewing my page the order is completly changed into:

water/fire/lightning/water/air/lightning/fire

Scary!!!

I see that the alignment of all the pictures is "Right"...i tried to change this but then they suddenly appear on the second row; it was quite a mess.

I also tried to re-order it in the SBI several times but the results were never the same as the range i put them in.

Can you tell me what i could do in order to get them right?

Thanks!

RE: Upload graphics in homepage

Hi Yvonne,

Have you tried putting them in a table? Barbara posted some links on how to make an html-table. That is one way I know on how to keep things in order normally but of course I have not tried doing that yet in SBI!

RE: Upload graphics in homepage

Hi Yvonne,

When you want full control you should put the image links into a table cell.
@Tina: You can just place the HTML tags in the SBI blockbuilder where you also enter text, it will be translated.

The way I did put the images on my homepage (which I showed you) was a quick-and-dirty method and since it turned out ok I'm just leaving it as is.

BTW: Yvonne, you're images are looking just fine and I notice you haven't used a table.

RE: Upload graphics in homepage

Hi Yvonne, Barbara and Tina
i am (very!) slowly learning the HTML stuff but have not managed to get my picutes into the home page as you have successfully done Yvonne - i have checked out Tina's link and was not able to put together the HTML for the table to include my photos
is anyone able to actually email the basic HTML to me so i can custom make my photos appear?
also, i have tried and tried to resize in Paint and it is only making the image smaller from one corner and not keeping the whole photo in the frame?
does anyone know what i am doing wrong please?
thank you

Kind regards

Caroline x
