About Finances and Taxes

Currently we only have costs and when we pay taxes over profits in the future I assume I can deduct (some of the) costs I'm currently having (computer, courses, research) but I have no idea to what extent.

Can anyone who is already making money online or has knowledge/experience with this share this in this thread?

Below some background information (from 2006 but that does not matter in this case.. I guess):

Mijn advies is: Just do it!

Success,
Attila

Attila,

I'm pretty close to ignorant on this subject so can you help me fill in the blancs.

As I understood you do not get 'subsidie' but you get to a tax reduction from your revenue.
First year more than second and a small amount in the third year.
So.. when you are not making any revenue (yet), you cannot profit from this deduction..right? (since you don't pay taxes when you don't have income, so nothing to reduce when it's already just zero).

RE: About Finances and Taxes

I have been registered with the KvK for 5 years now as a freelancer in an 'eenmanszaak'. It is just my weekend job since I am still full time employed by a large corporation.

I was adviced to quit the 'eenmanszaak' and start using the 'opbrengsten uit overige werkzaamheden' option since I am not making enough money out of it to really be a self employed business.

Someone else told me that after 5 years the belasting gets nasty and can come over and do an 'inval' to check out your books and everything. So I am not sure what to do now. Changing it into a BV is not really an option to me at the moment.

@Atilla
Why don't you use the 'New Reply' button underneath instead of the 'Reply' button within every message? If you answer someone directly under their post you do not need to quote the complete message. Wink

I don't really get your question and I'm not an "expert" on this subject.
What I DO know is this.
The first 3 years If you work more than 1250 hours a year for yourself as a company then you have an extra 8K tax reduction from the dutch government when you pay taxes.
Normally here in Holland the first 17 K you don't pay tax. From there you start to pay tax. However in my case I had another 8K what was not taxed. So you as an employee start to pay from 17K and I start to pay from 25K. How cool is that? I think it's pretty cool! (http://www.belastingdienst.nl/variabel/b...en-19.html)
For that alone I'd pay 80 Euro's at the KvK and get back +- 8000 from taxes. If you want a real good financial adviser who takes care of my financial things I can send you a email trough PM and you can ask him a few questions. Remember, I'm an "avoider" and I concentrate on other things. Never thought about the ins and outs. As long as everything is taken care of I'm happy and continue with making money and reinvest.
